Due to the final stages of our house move, the last few weeks have been rather turbulent. I am SO glad to have been able to take some time off (which has proved practical during this period of inevitable disruption) and very happy indeed to be done, at last, with moving – a process which in one respect or another has occupied so much of this year. Farewell to Carbeth and onward, now, to calmer waters!

Swathes of heavy cloud and light over Antrim – at this time of year the light is so clear that you can pick out individual houses and field boundaries from our Kintyre coast! I find this incredible.
