This is so beautiful
Nice
Such a beautiful film and thank you so much for sharing such beauty.
I just got back home (to MD in the States) from my first visit to Scotland and am in love with the country and its people. I’ve enjoyed your patterns and writing for years, Kate, and Tom’s photography, but my visit gave me a new appreciation for the topography of gorgeous Scotland. Can’t wait to receive this book of Davaar!
How lovely. I see a resemblance to a turtle shell. Just me I
guess.
Wondering if that is some of Tom’s special music as well.
Forgive the question from an Aussie: is the purple heather? Such a beautiful colour!
yes – that’s heather in bloom
Wow, I can’t wait to see what’s to come tomorrow. This film was stunning!
Great photography of a breathtaking landscape. Thank you.
The allure of these landscapes is powerful. I want to capture some of these shots for watercolour painting.
Thank you Kate and Tom. Still watching after all these years and longing to cross the seas to visit again.
I had tears in my eyes (still do) from the beauty of Davaar & Tom’s work.! looking forward to The book.
Tom’s film evoked tears from me too!! “Still does”!
I can imagine this on a big IMAX screen – so mesmerizing! Thank you for sharing ❤️
I live in Maine, in Bar Harbor. We have an island in the harbor which is connected to the mainland by a bar which is exposed a low tide. I love the ebb and flow of the sea as a creator of access. Tom’s drone videography is elegant and graceful and also complete. Thank you both for sharing your bliss!
Such a beautiful film, it’s so interesting to see places from above, to see how the land contours and the scope of the colours – you never see this from the ground. Looking forward to the new book and to see how Davaar has inspired your work.
I think I could spend a lifetime on Davaar! The film is beautiful. I especially liked the cliffs and their caves, and the glorious colors too!
A dream landscape – thanks for starting my day with such beauty.
A glorious jewel surrounded by a glittering sea on a beautiful sunshiny day. Thankyou for such a lovely, peaceful film.
It’s such an unusual way to see the island and to see the hidden patterns and textures from the sea to the heather. So beautiful!
Thank you.
I too can’t travel more than about 30 minutes from home due to health problems so your regular emails Kate take me away to places I know or would like to visit. We’ve travelled through the outer Hebrides, Orkney and Shetland but not Davaar – in my imagination I can now. Thank you.
Wow! A brilliant film of an incredible place. I am so looking forward to seeing more!
A very nice film to see first thing and I’m loving the purple heathers. The lighthouse on island immediately makes me think of my great grandfather who was a lighthouse keeper on a smaller lighthouse on an island on west coast of Yell, Shetland. The lighthouse is still there – modern day structure that’s automated – Ness of Sound lighthouse and island can be walked to via tombolo. I’ve not walked to lighthouse so far but you’re inspiring me to! Thanks to you both.
Consider my appetite whetted!
Merci à vous et à Tom , c’est magnifique !
Thank you for this. Just what I need in stressful times when for health reasons we can travel no more than 30 minutes from our home in the West Midlands
So beautiful,.. a little bit of peace to begin a Friday morning.
🙏
Beautiful – great drone footage tom. Looking forward the reveal 😃
Thank you Kate and Tom for this peaceful moment
Greetings from France

Thanks so much for this beautiful film. A lovely way to start the day. We walked on Davaar in late summer 2021. What a great day. It was really good to see the isle from above. Very much looking forward to seeing your new book.
