My own neighbourhood is my favourite place to walk, at all times of the year. The We Love Leith movement is currently encouraging more people to walk, bicycle, and enjoy their local patch. I am very fond of these banners, which currently festoon Leith Walk, and which celebrate Leith’s exuberance, variety, and history. I love Edinburgh. As a child we visited every year as it is my mothers birth place. I remember very well visiting my Aunt and Uncle in Dalmeny Street when they lived in Leith. On the way home we always called into a bakers shop that sold Custard slices; my Mum said they were the best she had ever tasted.
