Lambs are seasonal, in more ways than one. I am not just thinking of cribs and mangers and nativity plays, but of the obligatory lambing-shed scenes on the Archers (ahem). Here is a sign in the Pentlands that always amuses us. Those speedy lambs are clearly out of control! (and intriguingly literate).

Ha! Loved this picture….our family name is Lamb and we could ALL use some slowing down, except for brother Bob in Florida-he spends his time fishing and that is a slow sport.

Now I appreciate the “Lamb-mar” ;) but when I first saw the picture I read it as a reminder to slow down and enjoy the season. Everything can seem so sped up and frantic at this time of the year sometimes you just need to slooooowww down.

Seasonal lambs also mean a beautifully roasted leg of lamb… at least in my family
mmmmm… now I think I know what to make for the weekend!

I have always been intrigued by the WRONG WAY signs that I see all over NYC. I often think that… yikes, I’ve zoomed past it, now how do I turn back?!

Bad grammar aside, this made me giggle – thanks!

Perhaps someone has a web site so all this “illiterature” can be collected.
We have a sign near here that states:-
“No Tipping and Parking”.
Presumably either activity is fine by itself! -
Very funny. As a writing teacher, I am highly amused by these sorts of signs and have taken to photograph signs with errors for my office wall. Students have even begun to collect these images for me. It is great fun. ~Kelly

Yep, we have lots of those sorts of signs round here too! I want to know who gives them the brush and paintpot…
