Here, at last, is Aimee:

and a detail:

Not sure I enjoyed the process of knitting an entire seamed garment in kidsilk haze. However, the finished effect is very nice and it looks lovely on. As per, I cast off too tightly on the neck and, as there is no give in the yarn *at all* had to insert a couple of little buttons at the shoulder.

Pattern: Kim Hargreaves, Aimee
In: Rowan ‘Vintage Style’
Yarn: 4 x 25g kidsilk haze (582, trance)
needles: 4.5mm and 3.5mm

  1. Very pretty.

I am attempting to knit this sweater and having difficulty getting the lace pattern to come out like the picture. I wonder if there is a mistake in the pattern. Did you have any trouble getting the lace pattern to work?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

  2. Hi!
Thank goodness you were able to finish this sweater. I have been struggling with gauge and increases. The whole thing has grown! I changed my needle sizes to accommodate the row gauge, but now the stitch gauge is way off.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

  3. That looks lovely!
