easy lace — a feather & fan stole made from laceweight alpaca bought at The Alpaca Centre near Penrith last summer. The yarn was wonderful to work with, but the stole resembled a jelly-like mess until I blocked it:
after which it turned out lovely.
the scalloped edgings (one grafted on) are particularly pleasing:

the pattern repeats were so simple that I could even work them, zombie-like, on the return train home.
Having made this first lace foray, heres what’s next (before, of course, I start turning out print o’ the waves lovelinesses).
Hurrah for Kim Hargreaves. I’m making it in a nice duck-egg colour. More fun than marking..
