Warriston is available for £3.95

This aran-weight sweater is both speedy and satisfying to knit. Inspired by the smock-like garments once worn by shepherds and fishmermen, it is cosy and hard-wearing sweater, but also has thoughtful details like a cowl neck, inset pockets and neat i-cord edging.

The pattern covers bust sizes from 30-50 inches
To make Warriston, you will need: approximately 1(880), 2(980), 3(1080), 4(1180), 5(1280) yards of Jamieson & Smith Shetland Aran, a 60 cm/ 5mm / 5.5mm circular needle, and a longer circular needle (100cm) for working the yoke and sleeves.

The pattern inlcudes issue 1 of Textisles, in which you can read more about the history of the English smock.
