forthcoming

Here you can find more information about new pattern releases, and forthcoming appearances at yarn stores and other woolly events.

2012

I am currently working on my first design collection which will be released in print & digital formats in November 2012.

March: Release of Textisles issue 2, and Betty Mouat patterns.

April: Release of new cardigan design in size ranges for babies, kids, and adults. Watch this space!

I’ll be at This is Knit in Dublin on April 14th, to lead a workshop on steeks. Want to knit your cardigan in the round, steek it, then add a buttonband? I can show you how.

June
On the 22nd and 23rd of June, me, my patterns, some kits, and a trunk show of all my designs shall be at WOOLFEST!

October: I’m very proud to be the woolly ‘ambassador’ for Shetland Wool Week! Come and meet me in Shetland.

  1. Hi,
I love your work! it´s fenomenal!
I have a picture of a jumper which I love but I am not great at pattern making for knitting (I do them for sewing pretty well though!),
If i send you the picture of it, will you be able to help me out with the pattern?

  2. Sounds like 2012 is going to be a great year for you…. Me and my friend across the river here will both be snapping up Betty Mouat (she will have to learn to knit now…) and I am intrigued by the idea of a new cardi from you. Also looking forward to new Textisles! And I’d love to attend the steek workshop but alas, am on the other side of the world. I wonder if you could video this and sell it as an online tutorial on Needled? Could be another way to expand your business? In the meantime I am cracking on with Deco (thanks for the Blacker yarn info on your web last year, I am knitting with an organic Corrie/Hebridean mix and it is absolutely delicious), and lining up Owlet x 2 for my twins, plus the Rams and Yowes and Sheepheid kit…. Just finished the Shetland Triangle which I saw on yr blog aeons ago. So thanks for that too! You are an inspiration in so many ways – I do hope that despite the challenges you face daily with the after effects of a stroke, you manage to achieve all you want to and more this year x

  3. What a busy year you will be having. I have just purchased your Texisles 2 which is fab and the sweater and cowl are on my as soon as possible to do list! Myself and my friend Mandy (who is also an avid knitter and also loves your designs) are heading to Shetland for the wool festival in October so hopefully we will meet you there. We keep watching for the itinerary to appear on the Jamieson Smith website so we can plan our week. Hopefully it will be posted soon.
