Pleated yoke cardigan, with wee pockets and icord edging. This child-sized version of the popular Manu pattern is designed to fit girls from 0 to 9 years.

Pattern booklet includes schematics, full instructions for all unfamiliar techniques (applied icord; icord buttonholes; pleating; Carol Sunday’s short row method) and notes on achieving best fit.

yarn requirements: approximately 6m (380), 12m(400), 18m(460), 2 ½y (580), 4y(660), 6y (800), 7y (950), 9y (1150) yards of a lightweight dk /sportweight yarn that knits to gauge. The sample pictured is the 18 month size, and is knit in Orkney Angora “St Magnus”, an Angora/ Lambswool blend. A slightly fuzzy yarn with drape works best for this pattern.
