This cardigan combines a drapey, feminine silhouette with a surprisingly simple construction. Knit all in one piece from the bottom-up, the yoke is shaped with short rows, then finished with pleats which shape and frame the neckline. Thoughtful finishing details – like the i-cord bind-off and buttonholes – give the garment a neat, professional look.
Pattern covers bust sizes from 30 to 52 inches.
yardage: approx 1(1116) 2(1211) 3(1306), 4(1401), 5(1496), 6(1591), 7(1686) 8(1781) 9 (1876) 10 (1971), 11(2066) yards of a light sportweight/ dk yarn that knits to gauge.
The pattern includes instructions for unfamiliar techniques (applied icord; icord buttonholes; pleating; Carol Sunday’s short row method).

Love this sweater!
Oh wow, this is gorgeous. I’m starting to feel like a stalker – I hope you don’t mind – I came across your blog last night in a link from Mason-Dixon Knitting and it’s such a pleasure to read a really well-written blog that I’ve been reading everything here. I will be buying this pattern as soon as I can afford the yarn! I don’t know if you have time to answer comments, but if you do, do you think it would knit up well in a wool/cotton mix?
This is the perfect cardigan. I have some Drops Alpaca which would look lovely knitted in this pattern – my first cardigan! When are you planning to make it available to buy?
Lovely work.
Sorry, I didn’t see the link!
I love “Manu”!! can you say me what color of “Shilasdair luxury DK” you’ve chosen for this cardigan? Thank you very much!!
Muriel.
